We are now
using cold lay 6ml tarmacing for footpaths, which
is ready for use as soon as it is laid.
This
means that all barriers and signs can be moved
immediately, thus reopening the public paths to
pedestrians much quicker than other methods.
 Cold
lay tarmac cannot currently be used on roads as it lacks
the strength to accommodate large amounts of heavy weights
such as the continuous use by lorries.
